Introduced options for students during their high school process. Spartan Success Formula
General Graduation Information:
(credit for wording given to MHS SBISD)
CREDITS: All students must graduate with 26 total credits which includes 1 Physical Ed Credit, 1 Fine Art Credit, and 2 credits of the SAME foreign language. Additionally, students need 4 credits in electives. Typically, those electives chosen go toward an endorsement.
Students must meet state laws and SBISD policy governing class attendance in order to receive credit for each course. Eligibility for extracurricular activities is also based on student attendance requirements in each course. Therefore, no drops or adds will be approved after the 9th day of the semester, in accordance with UIL eligibility rules.
LEVEL CHANGES:
Students enrolled in Pre-AP or AP classes may request a level change to the equivalent standard course after the 3rd week and 6th week progress reports. If a student waits until the 6 week mark to go from a Pre-Ap or AP course, it is possible that a student may receive up to a 10 point bump in the grade given one the 6 week report card. There are no level changes, without administrative approval, for the 3rd 6 weeks (or final 6 weeks) of a semester class. Level change request forms will be available in each alpha office.
